Mary Ann's Wintergarden design is now available through SkiKnits.com. Wintergarden can be knit by experienced knitters in Dale of Norway Heilo, Hauk or Tiur at a gauge of 24 stitches x 28 rows = 4". The armholes are steeked, using the same traditional Norwegian construction found in many Dale designs. This pattern has instructions for 2 adult sizes, 41" chest for average sizes and 47" chest for extra large sizes. You can easily vary the body and sleeve lengths while maintaining the motifs. To make the hip-length version, shown above, you'll need 10(12) balls of Heilo in Soft Blue and 8(10) balls of Heilo in Natural. As always, we encourage you to use any 2 colors your heart desires in either Heilo, Hauk or Tiur. Call or email with any questions.
